Eskimo Annie

Little Eskimo Annie, Eskimo Annie
Loved a polar bear
Grandfather told her
When the bear gets older
They go for a stroll

Little Eskimo Annie, Eskimo Annie
Went and asked Granny,
“Granny what I do?”

She said, “Put a little honey on the snow
As the bear begins to grow.”

Little Eskimo Annie, Eskimo Annie

Then one season came
There was no rain
There was no snow
For the sun began to shine
Melting ice of all kinds

Little Eskimo Annie, Eskimo Annie
She wandered and wandered the ice all over
It was one of those very hot days

See the polar bear was stranded on the ice
And the ice was floating away, floating away

Little Eskimo Annie, Eskimo Annie
Went and asked Granny,
“Granny what I do?”

She said, “Call out the national guard!
Call out the navy! Call ‘em out, just call ‘em out
And act real crazy!”

They would start a wave
And guess what the wave gave?
Little Eskimo Annie, Eskimo Annie
She gave her polar bear
It really shed his hair
It got real dirty

Little Eskimo Annie, Eskimo Annie
Went and asked Granny,
“Granny what I do?”

She said, “Add more honey,
Add more honey…
Add more honey to the ice.”
